Electoral Literacy Club of Govt. Degree College Jourian launched a three day drive in the college to register eligible students for Electors Photo Identification Cards (EPIC) usually known as Voter ID Cards in collaboration with IQAC, Activity Committee and NSS unit under Shikshit Bharat programme. A large number of eligible students availed the opportunity and filled form no 6 for new voter registration.
Dr. Nazim Mohi Ud Din, Assistant Professor of Political Science made the students aware about the importance of voter ID card and voting rights for the national growth and development.
Dr. Rakesh Bharti, Convener Electoral Literacy Club exhorted upon the need for the registration of Electors Photo Identification Cards (EPIC) and encouraged the students to make the eligible voters aware to register for the same.
Dr. Anuradha Pandoh, Principal of the college applauded the efforts of the electoral literacy club for launching the drive in the college. She encouraged the students to take part in the drive with full zeal and enthusiasm.
Members of the electoral literacy club Dr. Rimjhim Gupta, Dr. Vandana Rajput and Prof. Sushma Kumari supported the students in filling the voter registration forms.
College has constituted an Electoral Literacy Club to strengthen the culture of electoral participation
among young and future voters. Prof. Kuldeep Raj Sharma, Principal is the Nodal Officer and Dr.
Rakesh Bharti, Assistant Professor of Education is the Convener of the Club. It serves a platform to
engage college students through interesting activities and hands-on experience to sensitise them on
their electoral rights and familiarise them with the electoral process of registration and voting.
